Delgado Community College-Locations in Covington, New Orleans, Slidell
Delgado has extensive offerings of healthcare career opportunities available through their School of Allied Health and the Charity School of Nursing.

Examples of certificate programs include Medical Coding, Pharmacy Technician and Surgical Technology. Associate degree programs include Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Assistant, Radiology Technology, and Veterinary Technician.

Louisiana Technical College-Locations in Bogalusa, Hammond, Slidell, Jefferson, Orleans, River Parishes
The Technical College campuses have some or all of the following healthcare training opportunities available: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (Basic), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Office Assistant and Patient Care Technician (PCT).

LSU Health Sciences Center-Located in New Orleans
Programs include Doctor of Audiology, Medical Technologist, Occupational Therapy, Opthalmic Medical Technician, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy and Speech Language Pathologist.

LSU Medical School-Located in New Orleans

North Oaks School of Radiologic Technology-Located in Hammond
The program requires a high school degree or GED; you must also complete 15 hours of general education college credits. A 24-month long program, Rad Techs earn $32-$38,000 annually.

Nunez Community College-Located in Chalmette
Nunez offers training in the following occupations: Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA),
Health Services Office Management, Emergency Medical Technician (Basic) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Southeastern Louisiana University-Located in Hammond
Known for their premier nursing program, the Southeastern College of Nursing is a four-year program where you can earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). You can continue at SLU and earn a Master’s degree as a nurse practitioner or nurse educator, earning higher wages.

Other programs include Speech and Language Therapist and Kinesiology, which includes healthcare professions such as Athletic Training, Exercise Science and Sports Management.
